When following a diet for hypoglycemia it is also important that you do not skip a meal. The reason for this is that the body results into storing fat which is not good for a person with hypoglycemia as they are not able to do away with unhealthy fats. As for vegetables, they is no prescribed list of vegetables suitable for a hypoglycemia diet. The reason for this is that you may want to try different vegetables and note reactions if any. In order to isolate the vegetables with problems you must try them one at a time with a menu that you have tried before.

Do not take those foods that are proscribed. These proscribed foods include caffeine, refined carbohydrates, alcohol and sugar. These foods increase the levels of anxiety and stimulate the secretion of those hormones that increase stress such as cortisol and adrenaline.

Another important element of diet that should be included in the diet is a protein just before bed time. The protein should be for instance an egg. The reason for this is that proteins are difficult to digest and therefore put a sort of fatigue in the body that results in rest. Thus for insomnia, which is one of the major symptoms of hypoglycemia it is important to include in your hypoglycemic diet a protein snack just before bed time.
